With a small group format (maximum 25 participants)\, it enables meaningful learning\, rich dialogue\, and collaborative growth. SUMMARY:The Pākehā Project - Te Tiriti in Practice workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us to explore our roles in moving towards a Tiriti-based Aotearoa where all people can flourish\, and together develop an intentional community of practice\, support\, and care for taking collective action. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n\n\nOverview \n\n\n\n\nThis one day workshop will be facilitated by Rebecca and Louise from The Pākehā Project and is being hosted by Claire Caiger and Abi Raymond. \nThis workshop is designed to develop our capacities for deep reflection and meaningful action towards restorative systems change\, underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi. \nThis interactive workshop will be delivered in trauma-informed ways by facilitators who are skilled at helping navigate the emotional territory that is necessary fordealing with uncomfortable material. \nParticipants will besupported to consider the practical ways they can each participate in unpicking colonisation and racism and work towards an ethic of restoration in Aotearoa so that all can flourish. The former Director Academic and Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College\, she has 27 years’ experience in creative arts pedagogy and leadership. Her research focuses on the role of Pākehā in decolonisation and honouring Te Tiriti\, and how to give effect to that in practice. She works with an understanding of complexity\, embodied and collective intelligence\, the nervous-system\, collaboration\, and systems-change\, with a particular focus on working across difference. She loves helping people connect with themselves\, each other\, and the more-than-human world —doing the hard and delicate work of belonging together. Rebecca is an experienced educator and workshop facilitator and is adept at bringing people together to engage in reflection\, deep discussion and idea generation. She is committed to an ethic of relationality and restoration. Of Pākehā (Scottish and English) descent\, Rebecca lives in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLouise Marra (she/her/ia)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLouise Marra\, Co-founder of The Pākehā Project\, has leadership experience spanning all sectors\, having held senior leadership and governance roles within Government\, the private sector\, philanthropy and the NGO sector. Louise set up the Auckland Policy Office for Government\, running it for 10 years\, and then worked for DPMC in the Policy Advisory Group\, as an advisor to the Prime Ministers. Since\, Louise has studied collective and intergenerational trauma and somatic therapies for many years and runs her own company\, Unity House. Louise is also a founder of a social enterprise\, the Emerge Institute\, and ReRoot\, a catalyst for the Centre for Social Impact and the former Director of the New Zealand Leadership Programme. Louise describes herself as a braided river\, coming from both Ngāi Tuhoe and Ngati Pākehā whakapapa. I hold a Masters in Autism from Griffith University\, focusing on autism and anxiety. For 8 years\, I worked at a charity supporting families and communities with autism. Currently\, I run a private practice offering neuro-affirmative support to autistic clients and their families\, and provide workshops and training on autism and neurodiversity. I am a contractor for OT and the Ministry of Education\, a full member of NZAC\, and am studying a PG in Neurodiversity while participating in various autism peer groups. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbigail Raymond (she/her/ai)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNeurodivergent (AuDHD) counsellor\, arts therapist\, clinical supervisor\, trainer and mother based in Tāmaki Makaurau. My practice combines lived experience with professional training\, research\, and two decades of clinical experience. I work with whānau\, schools\, organisations\, and professionals to develop neuro-inclusive and affirming supports that empower autistic and neurodivergent individuals. In my private practice I provide neuro-affirming support for parents of autistic and neurodivergent children\, clinical supervision for professionals\, and training on neurodivergent and queer affirming practice.
