The Neuroaffirming Futures privacy policy has a few fundamental principles:

  • The only information you will be asked to give is what is needed to work with you.
  • Personal information processed on this website is held only as long as there is a reason to keep it.
  • Full transparency on how your information is gathered on this website is the goal.
  • The information you share when working with Abi either in person or remotely is not covered by this Privacy Policy.

Below is the full Privacy Policy.

Who Neuroaffirming Futures is and What This Policy Covers

Abi Raymond runs this website. You can see more about Abi here.

This Privacy Policy applies to information that is collected about you when you fill in an enquiry form on this website or sign up to the mailing list.

When you work with Abi, either in person or remotely, your interactions and collection of your personal data are governed by the New Zealand Association of Counsellors Code of Ethics. You can view this document here

The section below explains how this website collects, uses, and protects information about you, along with the choices that you have about that information.

Information Collected

Information is only collected if necessary — for example, to deliver a product you’ve purchased, to communicate with you, or to make products and service better.

This information is collected from two sources: if and when you provide information to us via an enquiry form, contact form or email, and automatically through this website.

This is what’s collected:

Information You Provide

  • Basic contact information: For example when you sign up to the mailing list.
  • Payment and contact information: If you buy something, you need to provide information for processing payments and letting Neuroaffirming Futures contact you.
  • Communications with us: When you communicate via enquiry or contact form, a copy of those communications is stored.

Information Collected Automatically

Some information is collected automatically:

  • Log information: Like most online product or service providers, this website, or an approved third-party provider like Google Analytics, collects the normal information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, including the browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language preference, referring site, the date and time of access, operating system, and mobile network information.
  • Transactional information: If you make a purchase through this website, information about the transaction, such as product details, purchase price, and the date and location of the transaction are collected.
  • Location information: The approximate location of your device may be derived from your IP address. This information is collected and used to, for example, calculate how many people visit the website from specific geographic regions.
  • Information from cookies & other technologies: A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Neuroaffirming Futures uses cookies that enable your browser to cache pages on our website so you have a faster, smoother browsing experience. Currently this website does not use cookies and other technologies like pixel tags to identify and track visitors.
  • Embedded content from other websites Articles and resources stored on neuroaffirmingfutures.co.nz may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you have visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

To the extent that your information is shared with certain advertising, marketing, or analytics vendors, this can be considered a “sale” or “share” in certain U.S. States, which you may have the right to opt out of.

To access, correct, or delete your personal data, please contact Abi Raymond. See the How to Contact section.

When you contact Neuroaffirming Futures about one of your rights under this section, your identity will need to be verified before any data is disclosed or deleted.

Appeals Process for Rights Requests Denials

In some circumstances your request to exercise one of these rights might be denied. For example, if you cannot be identified as the purchaser or submitter of data, your request to access personal information may be denied.

As another example, if there is a legal requirement to maintain a copy of your personal information, your request to delete your personal information may be denied.
