    Overview

    This 2 hour online professional development webinar offers an engaging and accessible introduction to the foundations of neurodiversity and neuro-affirming practice.

    Designed for counsellors, therapists, and other helping professionals, this 101-level session introduces the neurodiversity paradigm and key foundational principles of neuro-affirming practice.

    The webinar includes interactive elements to support deeper understanding, reflection, and opportunities for participants to ask questions and engage in discussion.

    Abigail Raymond (she/her/ai)

    Neurodivergent (AuDHD) counsellor, arts therapist, clinical supervisor, trainer and mother based in Tāmaki Makaurau. My practice combines lived experience with professional training, research, and two decades of clinical experience. I work with whānau, schools, organisations, and professionals to develop neuro-inclusive and affirming supports that empower autistic and neurodivergent individuals. In my private practice I provide neuro-affirming support for parents of autistic and neurodivergent children, clinical supervision for professionals, and training on neurodivergent and queer affirming practice. I am a full member and approved supervisor with both NZAC and ANZACATA.
