Overview
This 14-hour professional development course offers a neuro-affirming and lived experienced look at the strengths, perspectives, and needs of autistic youth. Gain practical strategies and resources to use immediately in your work. Facilitated by Abigail Raymond (Neurodivergent AuDHD), and Arletta van den Bosch and both experienced counsellors and educators with over 40 years combined experience. Ideal for therapists, counsellors, social workers, support workers, and other professionals, this training benefits those with both limited and advanced autism knowledge.

The Facilitators
Arletta van den Bosch (SHE/HER/AI)
Child and family counsellor for 20 years, specializing for the past 12 years in supporting autistic youth and adults, their whanau, and communities. I hold a Masters in Autism from Griffith University, focusing on autism and anxiety. For 8 years, I worked at a charity supporting families and communities with autism. Currently, I run a private practice offering neuro-affirmative support to autistic clients and their families, and provide workshops and training on autism and neurodiversity. I am a contractor for OT and the Ministry of Education, a full member of NZAC, and am studying a PG in Neurodiversity while participating in various autism peer groups.
Abigail Raymond (she/her/ai)
Neurodivergent (AuDHD) counsellor, arts therapist, clinical supervisor, trainer and mother based in Tāmaki Makaurau. My practice combines lived experience with professional training, research, and two decades of clinical experience. I work with whānau, schools, organisations, and professionals to develop neuro-inclusive and affirming supports that empower autistic and neurodivergent individuals. In my private practice I provide neuro-affirming support for parents of autistic and neurodivergent children, clinical supervision for professionals, and training on neurodivergent and queer affirming practice. I am a full member and approved supervisor with both NZAC and ANZACATA.
